No! I Don't Want to Join a Book Club: Diary of a Sixtieth Year by Virginia Ironside

Approaching what she believes will be the most interesting period of her life, nearly sixty-year-old curmudgeon Marie Sharp eschews the trend-oriented activities of her peers in order to enjoy her relationship with a new grandchild and a new gentleman friend.
Seems to me that anyone at any age can find themselves inside Marie's ramblings. I enjoyed this book very much and took my Kindle with me EVERYWHERE to sneak snippits of it. It was bittersweet at times, but completely honest in a way that most of us would rather people not know that we are. Best moment is when she thinks about her longing for grandchildren and admits that she used to tell her daughter "not until you are married", then "only when in love" and now it's come to, "any one night stands???". I could sure relate to that and love this book to pieces. I have been recommending it to anyone who needs a funny escape.
Not a very interesting book for our bookclub.
The book is good but the service from shipping company was outstanding.
I enjoyed this book so much that as soon as I finished it I bought the rest in the series.
