Wordbook of Australian Idiom - Aussie Slang: No Worries! She's Apples! by Kerrin.P. Rowe

A direct and informative Wordbook of Idiom and Slang which is directed at giving explanation to the meaning of and the correct usage of the Australian English language. There are some words used that may offend as they have converse meanings to other English Speaking countries; however, there is no intent to offend or malign or denigrate anybody. This book is designed to be informative, educational, and full of humor and will give the reader insight to a unique and colorful language.
My daughter was traveling to Australia so I bought her this resource guide. She said there were a few words in the book that were helpful, but she said a lot of people don't use these words too. The book at least has given us a laugh, but we have used it more for giggles than we have a useful guide abroad.
Funny. A gift for my dad who plans to travel down under. It has a bit of off color stuff in it, I can't let my 8 year old go reading through it.
Cool gift
This book is very straight forward and alphabetically listed in translation style with sentence examples. A nice little refence guide. My only critisism is that it could probably have been a bit more comprehensive, but it is definitely a good starting point for anyone new to Aussie expressions.
For my first time visiting Australia -- Even though I didn't hear all of these slang words we certainly enjoyed reading about some of them!!
Cute idea for someone going to Australia... Even if a little outdated. 2006 edition so a newer version may be better, but for the price, you can't beat it
I bought it as a birthday present and I believe the person liked it. Anyway, It was a success when everybody saw it. ;)
lots of fun to learn
