Comprehensive narrative of Gordon Lightfoot's life until the 80's. Needs a sequel to bring it up to date.

Lots of errors in this book. The author didn't do his homework. I stumbled over several factual errors, though the overall story was enlightening to a certain degree and entertaining overall.

If one wants to read a hit piece, this is it. This book seems to have been written with the idea of " Let's see how I can I sell something totally outrageous." Being the gentleman that he has always been, I can understand why Gord has never spoken publicly about this. Oh, but how I would have enjoyed reading that he would have filed suit for slander against Collins, even already knowing that he would never have lowered himself to the author's level, to do such a thing.

This is more a book chronicling folk music in Canada thru the

1960's and 70's. I don't believe this author ever spoke directly to Mr. Lightfoot. You can read 4 or 5 pages and his name does not even get a mention. Not only do I believe he never spoke to him, I don't believe he likes him. When Gordon Lightfoot's name is mentioned, it's usually included in a snide remark and a very subtle put down.

My recommendation is don't waste your money reading this author's mind.
this author should have gone down with the ship.dorothy castellano hit it right on the head...not enough info or respect for the man...as a lifetime mr.lightfoot fan i was sorely disappointed..DONT BUY THIS BOOK!!!
